Is there any mainstream random orbital which can touch a PC?

    Hey all,

We don't get Porter Cable products Down Under. Of course, I can order a PC from the US and have it shipped to me here, but that's fairly expensive (although our dollar is strong atm so now's the time if I have to), and I would also have to use it in conjunction with a device to convert our 240v 50hz AC to your 110v 60 hz (from memory?) AC to power the unit.

Basically what I'm wondering is, is there any common brand RA buffer which does close to the same job as a PC? We get all the major brands here, Ryobi, Black and Decker (assuming that's a global brand anyway) and the like, so is there anything worth looking at?

There are several Austrailian members on http://autopia.org that may be able to help you out with what they use but I think most do use the Porter Cable.

Cheers, Scott. I'll have to visit Autopia again, it's been a long time!
