Is there an ls1'd e46 yet?

    I've been thinking about it for the past year straight nearly. I know there was a z3 that was ls1'd. I spoke with the guy and he told me everything he needed to complete the swap.

    Anyways.

    There's that new V8 M3 that just came out; I think that negates any value in an LS1 swap.

    look, here's why you shouldn't swap another motor into a E46 M3; the Ls1 weighs 3 pounds, maks 8888hp with A/E/I and gets 66mpg, but thats not what its about with a BMW; it's about having a comparatively small I6 (fuck the new V8 :p) and revving that beautiful teutonic love machine to 7k.

    I agree that the S50/S52 is good enough for an E36, but I still think it would be fun as hell to have an LSx. And you're spot on with those specs :bowdown:

    LS1s can be made to be rev happy also.


    And I've thought about the lsx swap e46, because I'm sure theres one of there with a blown motor
