I'm trying to locate someone that used to be stationed here in Hawaii. He is in the Army. I purchased a car from him, (by the way was a great deal and is in excellent condition). He left before the transaction was complete and left his friend with power of attorney to finish things up. Unforunately his friend lost the PoA and has not returned any of my phone calls. I would like to contact the previous owner directly. All I have is his full name and last known address here on the island.

Is there an easy/not so easy way of finding this person?

Wouldn't the person have to be a member of Military.com for someone to locate them on Military.com?

I'm not sure if the Army has something similar but the Navy has Navy Knowledge Online in which I can search for names and 9 out of 10 times get a good working e-mail address or contact phone number.

Does anyone have an Army AKO(?) account that could assist?

I found his email address at least. So I shot him quick note on the situation at hand. If I don't receive a reply from him or his friend by the end of the week, I'll go by his last command.

    Thanks for the help.

He should have a listing on AKO.

    Okay I'll say it again.

    www.military.com

    1. register.
    2. Log in
    3. Right on that main page when you log in there is a Military locator.
    4. Search for military member, past or present
    5. It should bring up a bunch of info on that person.

I found myself, my father (and where he is living now including past addresses), and my cousin in there.

I already found him via AKO.

There was no information on him via Military.com
