Is there an easy way to convert .DMG to .ISO?

    any specific reason why you want to convert?

    I think the superdrive on my MBP is not working. I'm going to try to convert the image to .iso and burn it on my desktop.

    /usr/bin/hdiutil convert /path/to/filename.dmg -format UDTO -o /path/to/savefile.iso

    Change the file extension from .dmg to .iso. DMGs are ISO standard files.

    lol, i was searching for a while and tried a couple of converter applications until i stumbled upon someone saying this on another forum...it works
