Sorry, I guess I should have posted my topic in this forum, didn't see it before I posted it in the main forum.

I bought a K&N air filter for my car and it specified on the website that it is the one for the 2005 C230, but I searched the engine and the owner's manual and could not find any sign of an air filter.

I know there's a super in the car, but it's still gotta have a filter and I just cannot find it.

I called the dealer and they told me to look to the left of the main block and that there should be something there for the filter...nada.

    Anybody know where it is?

It's a 1.8 Super 4. I found it. It was under a container in the back that had a lightning bolt and said "electrical"...amazing how the manual didn't mention it. Had to go buy a torx screwdriver but got it in.

I filled it up after putting it in and changed the oil and have noticed it breaths a little easier, not much, but it does sound slightly better.
