Is there a quick (month and a half) way to build cardio endurance?

    I have changed my diet. Exercise 5 days a week looking to get to a 8 minute mile to pass a police test. I'd say I'm at about a 13 min mile. Did a 2 mile walk/jog today in the 32 degree cold :o.

    Start with some 30 second HIITs on an elliptical or a track and work your way up in time....will get your endurance going in a hurry.

    running a mile under 8 minutes is all about just forcing yourself to doit.`

    It's not about running a mile faster...it's about building up his cardio endurance quickly.

    HIIT is great for building up endurance. its the most effective method of running..... and its the most effective way to gain overall endurance.

    6 weeks is tough. But, I would think you can make some significant endurance gains.
