Is there a program that will allow me to monitor my CPU temp etc...?

Or do I need to put something in the machine to do that? There isn't anything in the BIOS, so I was thinking that there is program out there.

    Thanks,

Thanks, I actually just found it.

So, it says my case temp is 102* and the CPU is 111*

Is that good or bad? I have a P4 1.7gig and I just put a huge-ass heatsink/fan on it yesterday.

    Thanks

    CM.

make sure the hs/fan is seated properly. Might as well get some arctic silver too.

My proc usually stay at around 93 to 102 at 100% cpu usage for extended periods.

111 is a bit too high but within reason

Thanks, I had a feeling it was on the high side. The new HS/fan seems to be sitting properly. I didn't have this MBM program until today, so maybe I'll go back the stock hs/fan and then compre the temps to see where I'm at.

If that doesn't help any, I guess it time to drill some holes in the case :big grin:

    Is that 111 C or F?
I'm guessing F because most all the CPUs that I know of will die at 90+ C
However 111F = around 44C in which case you're fine

Yes it it was 111F. I took the side cover off of case tonight and the temp went down to the low 90's, so I guess I'm ok there. I'll have to work on putting some more fans on it.

Unless you plan to overclock or something, 111F is perfectly fine. You don't really need more fans.
I wise I had temps that low. Minie run around 50-60C (122-140F).

Trust me, guy, you're fine where you're at.
