Is there a program that can turn on/off my HDD whenever I want?

I know about the power managment thing in the control panel but isd there some other program that can do it? The reason I ask is because I recently hooked up a 3rd HDD that I had sitting around and I threw it in but it's fuckin loud and annoying (like a high pitch whine when it's on). I just store mainly movies on it so I usually want it off unless I wanna watch one. :naughty:

  2. External enclosure with USB or Firewire. There may be a program to dismount it, but what a pain that would be to mount/dismount, etc everytime you wanted to use it.

The only thing I know of is to use the Power Management in Control Panel like you said. You can set it to a low amount of time, but it will turn off all disks.

I use it an external USB enlcosure for my spare drive and it works great. I can turn it on or off whenever I want.
