Im looking for a smaller camera that takes Great pictures... Everyone recommended the S5 to me in the past. But that was a year ago...Im wondering if anybody knew of anything that has maybe taken the crown for what I'm looking for?

    -Great pics
-Easy to use (not child-like though, lol)
    -The smaller the better
    -Good zoom

I think the S3 IS with the RAW hack is probably pretty good I am sure teh G9 or 10 will get brought up also but personally I would go S3.

Even something smaller like a Fuji F20 or an older F30 series are small and have a decent price but only 3X optical zoom but has the biggest photosite area of all p&S

the SX10IS has face recognition AF and 20x optical, and it should work with all new SDHC cards, and it has a hotshoe

yes and I liked the S3 IS better. It could just be personal preference though. We all know what feels better to hold is what is going to make or break a decision on a cam and the S3 is more comfortable than the square design of the the G9. I do think the sensor is a bit overcrowded with pixels though

I guess as a DSLR owner, if I wanted something comfy in my hand, I would just take my 30d with me. I'd take a G9 when I didn't want something as big. The S3 is larger, so it would defeat the purpose.

yeah but the OP was comparing value to the S5 which is also a larger type P&S. Yeah the S3 is bigger than the G9/10 but compared to his original question, I think the S3 is a fine size

I'm hoping to dump my S5 soon to get a G9. Only for the simple fact that S5 can't be stuffed in a pocket. I love it but it's just too big for what I want it for.
