I just ordered an iBook and am wanting to upgrade the ram. I want samsung ram, but I can only find them in 256 sticks, whereas I can find anything in 512 except samsung.

I plan on using the iBook to download stuff, watch movies, listen to music, do some school stuff (business school.. lots of excel, word, and powerpoint files), etc. etc.

should I stick with 512 or go with 768? I'm kinda on a budget too since I gotta buy a lot more stuff to make me happy

try it with 512. pop up a terminal window and run "top" while you're apps are open and see if you're close to maxing out.

:werd: also check your load averages, I can't remember the figures but IIRC you don't want to be too close to 1.00, or above it. :dunno: I'm tired as shit :p :o
