Is the STI "the best bang for your buck" car in terms of performance?

    Having 0-60 times around 5.1s and doing the 1/4 in 13.3s, plus AWD, is looking pretty good. I'm trying to keep it around $25,000.

    NO, the evo is definately a better deal. It is closer to your price range. It has a little less hp but makes up for it in the performance upgrades market. There are already quite a few 500 whp evos running around. I wish i could say the same for the sti. The sti is definately harder to tune and the engine isn't nearly as strong as the evo.

    new car like a 2003+ if so evo RS low 13's and handles better than the sti

    Also the aftermarket is nuts

    and i saw a brand new on on the lot for 26k

    EVO if you want the turbo I-4, AWD platform. Its less than the STi and i beleive its a better performance platform.

    For mods the 4G63 is far superior to the EJ255t. Enough said.

    It's true. 21k for low 14s isn't a bad buy.
