a good kit for a variety of cars? i am about to purchase a starter kit that i can use on my 5 cars, they all vary on condition and paint. some are clear coat, some are european with metallic paint or whatever it is. some have lots of swirls others do not have swirls at all. is the optimum kit a good general kit? it includes optimum polish, optimum compound and optimum poli-seal and a couple wolf gang pads. will i need to buy other pads as well?

    long post, thanks for reading!

It will be an excellent starter kit, Optimum makes some great polishes and they don't dust. Just remember that less is more with Optimum. Once the pad is primed, it only takes about 2-3 pea sized globs of polish per section. Read the detailing EDU for proper PC usage to get the best results.

You also might want to pop for a bottle of Opti-Seal as well. $25 for 8 oz of sealant might seem like a lot but when you can do 5-8 vehicles per ounce of product and all you have to do it wipe it on and lightly work it in, it becames an amazing value.

I picked up some Optimum Compound, Polish, and Opti-Seal.

Should I have picked up Poli-Seal as a base for Opti-Seal? Would that give me extra protection compared to Opti-Seal alone?

Or could i use something like Klasse AIO as a base?

    :hs:

AIO is fine to use as a base for Opti-Seal.
