I do some cardio on both of them but the elliptical seems to say that I work harder than when if I run on the treadmill. Why does it feel much harder on the treadmill? Is it because my knees are getting impacted? Or is the elliptical raising the numbers so that people will feel better?

I don't know if the elliptical machines is better

If the elliptical machines are, I wouldn't be surprised.

I feel less tired after a few miles on the eliptical. The momentum of the eliptical seems to make it a lot easier for me than the up down motion on the treadmill.
