Until I see a video of someone sitting in front of a TV playing a PS3 with these kinds of graphics, I will not believe any of these pre-renders are actually in-game screenshots.
i need to clean my pants out, jeezabus
more likely that that's a cutscene, intro movie, etc.
Quite sure that the machine hasn't been fully built yet
I heard from some article that the PS2 is using an nVidia chip set and will have lots of anti aliasing issues. There's no way the final product will be that smoothe.
That killzone trailer release some time ago took 6 months to make.
and why sir are you talking about the ps2?
They don't even have a functioning PS3 yet, or at least not one the public knows about. Anything they have shown has just been pre-renders and mostly videos of what we can "expect". I hope they are that good, but I have my doubts
Dude where the hell did you get your information, watch this:
Start around 4:10
"That is REAL GAMEPLAY"
You can already see it in the 3rd pic. First thing I noticed
Well, G4 is always riding Sony's sack. Sure, it might be real gameply footage, but it's most definately not running on a PS3. More than likely it's captured footage from a gameply segement that was running on a very high-end PC (or several PCs.) What you'll ACTUALLY see when that same footage is rendered with PS3's hardware will be jaggy, have framerate issues, and probably won't be as smoothe. Like I said, at this stage it is all smoke and mirrors. I can almost guarantee you that nothing will look that good on PS3.
G4 had nothing to do with saying it was real, that was the Vice President of SCEA
The footage was real, but it wasn't running on a PS3. If you can prove to me that he says, "This is running on a PS3, this IS real ingame footage done in realtime" or something to that extent... then I will buy you a car.
No. That's an opening movie/teaser trailer.
Games have not come THAT far along.
where you on page 20?
that honestly looks pretty shitty compared to what ps3 has come out with recently
3 games later
It did end up looking like those screens...pretty legit. I just checked out the demo of the new Motorstorm game last night in 3D. I just got a 3D TV a few days ago..my mind is blown. I picked up this incredible deal and the TV just happened to support 3D too and included the 3D kit free. It was the first 3D TV I had seen. Movies look better than the current 3D shit at the theater and the game looked incredible too. Pretty crazy. I wasnt sure what to expect out of 3D gaming but it "wow'd" me
I got COD for Xbox, but the new TV has PS3 hooked up to it so I think I might pick it up for PS3 as well to see the game in 3D since its one of the only games currently in 3D besides this Motorstorm downloadable game. Not much out yet but this shit has major potential.
I played Cod on my 3d tv and it gave me a head ache after a few hours of play.... but it was pretty wicked!
Does it work for multiplayer too? Or just the campaign?
everything. I agree, it gives you a great sense of perspective which is quite an advantage imo.
As the gentleman above me said it works in everything. Single, multi, zombies. But some of the menus were screwy. Some were normal but then some were side by side, like split screen. But in multiplayer I didn't get a headache. But in zombies i did. And I think its cuz I kind of know the maps in multiplayer and not in zombies.... lol. I'm going to play in 3d tonight after work to try it again. It's really cool playing in 3d though.
3D graphics don't look real... They look 3D.
I don't wish to explain further... consoles certainly can't make movie-like renditions of realisim and most people don't have a computer powerful enough to do anything like that with a reasonable frame rate.
Remember the final fantasy movies? Advent Children and the uhh original one, spirits within or some shit... They looked "real" but still looked CGI. Especially now, you can see that sprites were used for their teeth and shit.
It'll be some time before we get "real" graphics.
