so I have a pentium 4 2.4 ghz proc that I've been running over clocked at about 2.65 ghz for the whole 2.5 years I've had it. Now, when I boot my computer, I get an error screen that tells me overclocking has failed, and when I clock back down to normal the computer still fails to boot. Is this definitely the proc or has something else gone? Note, I upgraded my motherboard and RAM a while back, so I wouldn't think it was those since they're brand new.

clear cmos via motherboard jumper, pop out BIOS batery, and boot.

Sounds like you have a ASUS board, happened to me a million times and that usually fixes it. Unless of course you nuked it
