    did you put the whole tube of artic silver on it? that would cause some major heat buildup

    what heatsink and fan are you using?

    Whole tube? no way.... maybe a matchead, probably less.

    Using the standard cooler, not overclocked.

    It idles at around 65.

    Well, the QX has higher temps than the rest of the core2s, but its not recommended to go above 90.

    What mobo are you using? If it's an Intel get their desktop utility and see what you get from there.

    I've noticed consistent temperature drops of between 3-8 degrees Celsius when replacing zinc oxide paste with silver paste. :dunno: Maybe just putting fresh paste on it is what makes the difference -- I swear that shit wears out after a while.
