I've contemplated getting it since I've purchased my first Mac. The amount of storage (5GB) doesn't seem to be a huge amount for the price.

    Anyone using anything different?

it's almost worth it if you have an iphone and multiple computers.

also, if you get it from amazon, there's a discount.

I don't have an iPhone and don't have multiple Macs that I work off of. I only work off of this one Mac and that's it.

    Worth it still?

I only have one Mac as well, and I do not find MobileMe worth it at all... I just use Dropbox to keep files synched between computers for free... the files themselves are never big anyway, I have a USB key or DVD burner for that :dunno:

I used it while I was in school to sync my mbp and iphone with homework assignments while in class. I liked it but it was just as easy to create a calendar in google.

Totally worth is if you want to keep everything nice and synced between computers and your iPhone. Online storage is nice too.

I believe it's 20GB. Anyway, I don't think it would be worth it if you don't have multiple macs or an iphone.

For about the same price, I have a domain and server space that is practically unlimited in both space and bandwidth. I have multiple macs too, but I don't use my online storage for syncing.

I liked how you could access it from anywhere on the web at www.me.com. Then from there it was always synced with my macs when I got home and my phone.

since you only have one computer, I wouldn't really see why it is worth it. It's awesome if you have multiple computers and don't want to do the work of syncing all of them. It's only $99 a year, so the features are great to have and really not all that expensive. If you don't want to drop the money, I would look in to google calendar. You can probably get it to work just the same, and you can subscribe to it on your computer as well.

Heck, all they need to do is just disable that feature...but by the time you realize it's missing, your phone's battery will already be dead (having push and GPS on...)

If you have the passcode on they'd have to figure that out first. After that they can turn off the tracking and then Me.com will only show the last location before they turned it off. You can still send them nasty messages and do the remote wipe.

They also have to be smart enough to do that. Chances are 99% of people that would find and steal your phone aren't that smart.
