I've been told by a few fitness guru's that if I ate healthy and did as many pushups, situps, heaves (as in reverse chin ups)
and running as far as I could every second day, within 3 months I would become very toned and muscular.
As its effective enough to target all the major muscle groups in my whole body.

These are just basic exercises that can be done without any equipment or great difficulty.

Does anybody know any other standard stuff I could use to try and work all my muscle groups?

Does anybody on here (broly crew) know if this is true?

sure that'll work. You won't achieve anything to stellar in the muscle department but it should improve your overall fitness.

you got a gf? get her to jump in your arms, squat her.

It would really be a waste of time. You would see minimal results for the effort you would be putting forth.

You'll likely be "basically" fit and not overfat, sure. You won't have incredible definition nor will you have incredible muscle.

Not to mention that "running as far as you can" and "eating healthy" are hardly exact parameters.

A properly balanced diet and cardio alone are enough to see significant gains in the short term.

If your goal is to lose weight, yes. I assume people here don't want to look skinnyfat though.

So he says. Probably a genetic anomaly anyway.
That said, you think he was exempt when all the other players have to strength train?

You seriously think olympic gymnasts aren't a) doing work in the gym and b) "supplementing"?

Found this... he may have been exempt...
But then again... whoever posted that can't really be too reliable a source.

where did i say they dont go to the gym or supplement? what i meant was i didnt think you could get really muscular unless you lifted heavy weights. they dont train in the same fashion bodybuilders do. they're aiming more for endurance and flexibility over strength
