I took the week off after my win at NAGA to get some rest and figure out how I should be training for the next tournament. I have till november to train.

I figured that since triangle chokes have been the deal closers for me, I want to revolve my game around the triangle. I want to be able to figure out how to gain the position to nail them no matter where im at. I also want to work on developing the armbar as my backup closer...and be able to transition from that to a triangle and vice versa.

I'm also going to work on my passes and get more comfortable on not being on a bottom position.

Is it too early for me to focus on getting my game revolved around a single finisher? I'd like to stick to what works for me and perfect it...ala Roger Gracie.

its not to early but you have to be sure to diversify. Then again if you prep your bread and butter right you're going to have to learn how to get exactly where you want to be in case you are not in that fav position of yours.

    game plans are completely overrated.

you just go in and get the job done. thats that.

the only game plan that is useful is the one you create while in the octagon or ring...whatever.

in my experience the game plan that i find most useful is the one where you punch the guy in the face as hard and fast as possible until he passes out.

Whatever guys, my best wins come from punching the guy in the face as hard and fast as possible until he passes out.

Triangle game, for sure check out shinya aoki. You might be able to pick up a lot from him. He also has dvd's out only in japanese but you can get the jist of it.

What i was referring too was short term. as in for the next tourny not forever.

    I'm down you're up.

I already came up there why don't you come down. I'll at least be awake and wanting to go out at 10pm unlike you 2 pussies up north.
