I am currently a Tmobile customer.

I have been with them over a year and I am eligible for Tmobile rebates on their phones.
I am getting the Samsung E715. It is $250 including the $50 rebate.

On Amazon it is $50 after Rebates.

    Now here's another catch.
After I purchase the phone I am then switching from my current plan to a family plan and the contract will technically be out of my name.

I was wondering if I could do the same thing with Amazon. Purchase the phone at Amazon. Then transfer the plan?

I think you can get the phone from Amazon but you'll have to do it this way.

Start a new line by ordering service from them.

When your new line has been activated just cancel the old line.

The only catch is you won't be able to keep your number.
