Is it possible......(PSU ?)

    ....to hook up two PSUs to the same system? I.e. have one powering my board and another powering my video card? I know that cases don't have the ability to install two but I'm thinking about modding my own case for this if it's possible.

    no you can't, or atleast not a good idea.
    You would have jump 2 of the wires on the ATX (20/24 pin connection) to even get the PSU to turn on without the mobo.

    I've done it before with an ATX power supply and an older AT power supply with a manual switch on it when I was trying to run a whole bunch of hard drives. It worked pretty well, but it's usually best to just get one big quality power supply.
