on one song i noticed this almost echo effect that was like right on my right ear, right side, the sound was right next to my face, listening in 2-channel mode, it was trippy only happened post vocals, it was underground rap :mamoru:

Possibly, not likely unless you have a huge room or the room is open to the rest of the house.

it's probably part of the production of the music itself... used to, artist would produce their music to sound good in the home eviroment... now a lot of current artist, use their cars as test beds for their tracks... and with ipods being a staple now, i suspect it will be worse... the death of hi-fi was a long time ago, so it's hard to find current music that sounds good.

yeah after i get the rest of my surrounds and diy my acoustic panels im gonna get a SACD/dvd-a player and probably a vpi scoutmaster as well

yeah a lot of the productions i hear especially from mainstream rock is pretty ridiculous sound wise, even straight cd im often unimpressed

this rap cd actually was ok, it wasn't incredibly detailed but the sound staging was perfect, the voice was always dead center and there was good separation of sounds and some good effects

the effect on the right side of my face was intense :mamoru:

There as to be a time delay of at least 100milliseconds for you to notice IIRC. So 54 feet between the reflecting surface and your ear.

no wall is remotely that far away, is it possible i had the volume loud enough for it to bounce multiple times then hit my ear?

only happened on that 1 song
