I've been trying to do my lifts like so:

    4 exercises

    3 sets x 6 reps (heavy)
    4th set x 25 reps (burnout)

for each lift. I really feel like I'm building good mass and getting stronger from those lower reps, but the pump I get after that burnout is CRAZY and seems to be helping.

    Is this a shitty routine?

If you're bangin out 6 reps I might even add another set to make it 4x6.

Like previously posted I wouldn't burn out after each one but if you like the high reps for the pump you can hit some high reps on accessory movements after your main compound movements. In the past I've done 25-40 reps on accessory movements just trying to throw a huge curve ball at my body.

Great advice guys. Think I'm just gonna do 4x6 on all major compound movements and burnout at the end of my session.

    "burnout"

    1. can be counterproductive if overused or used at the wrong time
    2. isn't going to help that much anyway

I thought if you could do more than 10 reps on the last set then you should be doing more weight......

So maybe add more weight until on the last set you "burn out" at 9 or 10 reps. 25 reps just seems silly.
