Is it normal to be so tired near the start?

My wife and I have started a program basically to turn our lives around. We're weight training and eating very healthy. But now I find that I am extra tired, and feeling a bit more hungry. Our portions are way down, and I am eating about half the portion as I used to, but find myself eating a few more times a day, small little things (wasabi peas, carrots, fruit, for snacks).

    Is this normal? :dunno:

Btw, we feel amazing. It's only been a few days, but already I feel great (minus tired :o)

Your body will take a few days to adapt but you may be jumping into the proverbial deep end which is a great way to burn your self out in my opinion.

What was your activity level like and what are you doing know?

How many calories has your diet been reduced by? Also, how many grams of carbohydrates are you eating per day?

2 days now I did 2 sets of 10 reps 120 lbs bench press, did some leg lifts, situps, pulls (sorry I don't know the names of all of these exercises yet :hs:)

Felt great to do the lifting. Going to do that about 5 days a week now. It was about a 25 min workout. I am not worried about burning out. I just need to get to the point that I am comfortable.

As for the calories, I am trying to figure out our daily intake on fitday, but I'd say I probably have cut calorie intake by about half. Or at least 1/3. Plus its completely different kinds of food. Eating very clean now.

Thanks for the help guys. I want to do this right. :wavey:

Unless you were completely sedentary before that workout shouldn't kill you.

The tired feeling is probably your body adapting to the new diet.

That is pretty much what I assumed. I was biking before, and we went on walks and stuff. I am not super fucking fat (5'4", 164 lbs) so, yeah.

Just did Fitday and I have 795 calories today so far. Going to be eating chicken with asparages, and salad for dinner. So I should probably end the day around 1,500.

Yeah, I am going to shoot for 2,000 starting today. I just am having a hard time eating as much. I think our portions were just a LOT bigger before they are now.

Btw, on that fit website where we are tracking our calories, it is split up among the calories/fat like it may be incorrect. :dunno: Here is yesterday:
