My traps suck. I'm not making gains nearly as fast with them compared to any other muscle. They haven't grown as much either. I wish I had some pics. What are some other good exercises for traps besides shrugs and dl? :wtc:

My traps got big from doing olympic lifts and DL's, I never really did that many shrugs.

shrugs and dls. I am weak, but I'm trying. I've only been lifting for a year, but I based my workout off of advice from here. Most people my age work their abs, chest and bis. No back, traps, tris, legs, anything.

i never do shrugs either, i think mostly just lucky genetics for me, not that mine are huge or anything. mine are developed from shoulder work outs and punching the heavy bag.

If you're doing lots of reps, try fewer with heavier weight. If you're doing heavy weight, try lighter with more reps

4 sets of bb shrugs + cleans (+variations) seem to be working pretty decent for me. and yes, they are gaining slow. but then again, everything does.

I've always found my traps to be one of my best responsive muscles actually
