GUN Is it just me, or are gun shows (in general) not a very good deal?

I haven't seen any real deals at any gun show yet, the only thing that you can sometimes find a deal on is some obscure shit, or you might get a deal if you haggle someone down or are able to trade. Stripped lowers for $250   Gimme a fucking break.

Terrible here too. In fact, they're worse than just going into the gun stores themselves.
It's like they RAISE their prices for the gun shows, and then lower them again when they get back to the shop.
IIRC, it's supposed to be the other way around.

The deals are average but you get a big selection of stuff. Local message boards are 100x better places for finding deals.

I buy ammo cans at gun shows normally because I can hand pick and get a decent deal. Other than that, fuck them.

they are generally overpriced in my area too ... ammo seems to jump $3-5 per box at the gun shows ....

i find the best deals are the last few hours of the show ... shops are trying to unload their stuff and will give you a better price ... but finding what you want those last few hours is hit or miss ... and mostly just miss.

I like to look at a bunch of different guns... but haven't seen/heard of any deals to be had at them. I think w/all the price gouging going on, the gun shows will put themselves out of business long before the dems go after them.

Only deals at gunshows are the one walking around. Those have become few and far between though. At the eastman gun shows a couple of the dealers started telling people that it was illegal to sell to anyone but a dealer. Several people complained, turns out the one that started telling people that was eastman's brother.

Internet has replaced the gun show. Only advantage that a gunshow has is that you can find pretty much every major model of gun there.

I only go to shows to look at/buy C&R items, ammo and the odd-ball novelty.
