Is it good to isolate muscles right/left,

    Or is it largely unecessary?

    It seems like on things such as leg presses and extensions its really easy for a dominant leg to do more work without you realizing it..

    Depends on your golas and training emphasis. isolationary exercises are good for mimicking sport specific movement and i beleive bodybuilders are big on isolation. They are definately not something that should take the priority in a routine unless you are attempting to address some specific weakness.

    everyone should do single leg work --- bulgarian squats, step ups, lunges
