Is it bad to eat white pasta 3-4 times a week?

    I really dislike the whole wheat stuff...love whole wheat bread etc but it doesn't work with pasta imo. Assuming I don't care about losing the vitamins and minerals, should I worry about it? I looked at the GI and it's pretty low actually.

    yes, to me its kind of like eating chinese foods...much calorie densed.


    is their any option for low fat or fewer calorie pastas?

    Just eat them at the right time (the early part of the day and after workouts).

    I've found the Barilla Protein Pasta to be pretty good actually. I couldn't even tell the difference between that and the traditional bleached flour pasta.

    I shop at Costco, the selection isn't huge...I'm a poor person bulking though so it's pretty much my only option.

    The Catelli brand stuff I get there doesn't seem to be too bad, it's fortified with vitamins (though they probably get boiled away come to think of it) and it's got 3 grams of fiber per 85 gram serving. And I can get a 9 lb box of it for 12 bucks. :o

    though taking a supplement to help with glucose clearance wouldnt be a bad idea.
