is it bad if you get most of your protein from supplements?

    i know real food > supplement but lately i just haven't had the time for any kind of cooking and most my protein has been comming from whey+milk, how bad is that?

    meh... sometime you just gotta deal, protein is protein. it should be mostly from food, but sometimes we don't have time for food

    i take 4 scoops of protein/day

    1 for breakfast
    1 mid-morning
    1 post work-out
    1 before bed

    :werd: Sometimes you just gotta deal. Ideally you should be getting most of your protein from solid food, but we all know that can't happen every day.

    i'm just doing this right now b/c i'm trying to lose weight and protein shakes are really low in calories as compared to other food... plus, the ratio of protein/calories is pretty good

    besides that, they're quick as hell

    I usually drink 3-4/day :dunno:

    I just make SURE i get enough protein.

    I take 4 scoops a day = 96g

    all other is from food...almonds, chicken, steak, ham, ground beef,pork, and occassional tuna/fish

    I started eating almonds as a snack lately - love em. Beats the shit out of the Lay's chips we get at the office.
