I installed insomnia on my laptop so it wouldn't fall asleep everytime i close the lid. I want that so i can keep the internet connection running (for downloading, adium, etc) with the screen close. I left it on for 2 days with just adium running and it was a little warm, is it ok to do this or am i risking overheating it?

Macbooks are made to run lid-closed if you have a keyboard and external monitor plugged in, so it would seem likely that apple has considered the thermal effects of doing so. I wouldn't worry about it.
