Looking for serious knowledge, not noobs who hurt their back doing lat pulldowns. My brother has degenerative disk disease. He has multiple annular disc ruptures with central disc protrusions at L5, S1 and L3-4. He is getting a settlement soon and will be able to begin working out, he wants to build strength, as he hasn't done much for a few years because of his injury. Im curious for someone with a back in his condition, what types of exercises should i focus on to start with? What things should i avoid? Not sure if anyone on here knows much about this, figured i would give it a shot, thanks.
