Ectomorphic are people who have trouble gaining weight and muscle if you didn't know about it.

Anyways, I belong to that group and I've noticed that through all my life. I eat a lot of stuff that could make anyone fat really fast. I used to drink lots of soda, chips, bread, eggs, meat but I never gained any weight.

Now that I've been going to the gym, I've realized that while people can have no trouble lifting 65 pounds, I can only do two sets of 25 pounds each, incline bench.

So, are there any ectomorphics that have gotten a somehow muscular bodytype?

I never really put too much stock in body-types. It sounds to me like you need to drastically increase your caloric intake using mostly healthy foods and eat enough protein. Even you will get gains if you follow a good program :hs:

Some people do gain muscle and fat easier but people labeling themselves as an ectomorph is the first step towards self defeat.

There are some others in this forum that struggled from a very low starting point, don't get too discouraged.

    Dumbbell press 25's?

    :eek4d:

I'd like to think I'm an ectomorph, I haven't gained much weight at all in about 3 years. I'm 6'4 193lbs, most I've ever been is about 195

I don't know if it is too much to ask but can you give me like a list of what I should be eating daily if I want to have a diet rich in proteins and calories? A friend of mine gave me like a synopsis of all the kind of foods I should be eating, but I have little idea on how to mix them.

    I am.

    Started at 5ft 7, 105lbs

My wrists are 6 inches circumference

    It fucking sucks.

BUT, it isn't an impossible problem. Your diet looks like total shit. Soda, chips, bread etc.. not the greatest bodybuilder diet ever.

Have a look through the sticky threads, including the "So you want to look like a bodybuilder" one - there's a diet suggestion in there that might help you out.

I guess you could consider me that. Asian ecto. 6"0 @ 160ish lb. I just need more intake really. It's my fault for that and I know it. Some days due to scheduling, I barely get enough to eat. It's a shame. I gotta pack some PB&J.

I was 5'10 and around 152lbs when I started lifting again. Been below 140lbs as well in my late 20's. I think somatotyping is outdated though. An example of why is GTlifter.
