WEB Is anyone a Flex Developer?

    How's that working out for ya? :dunno:

    Looked on dice.com and there seems to be a lot of jobs for Flex developers with Java backend skills.

    Flex looks pretty cool. I checked it out, did the tutorials and such. A much better dev environment than traditional Flash, with the same kind of results possible.

    i was thinking of taking that up someday. something extra to have that stands out from the usual php/sql/js/css/html on your resume

    I did flex development at my last job for about a year, really liked it. Remoting with amfphp lets you use php/mysql to load database results as objects into your application which flex can handle easily.

    there's tons of components out there for things not already built into flex.

    It just seemed like a clusterfuck when i played around with it for a short period of time about a year ago.

    Yeah, they've really pushed new versions of Flex fast, comparatively. I should get back into it and get decent enough to make some FB games or something.
