I assume so. How much play is normal? Mine moves around a tiny bit and I wish there was no play. Any products out there to eliminate this?

My carbine has a little play, no effect on the gun's performance compared to my rifle which is tighter than something that is really tight. It is normal, a lot of the newer uppers/lowers are being made to fit more snug because the wiggle annoys some people, and thus fueled a market for that stupid little accuwedge thing.

my RRA has no play, but my older bushy did, but when i ordered a new upper for it it didnt wiggle. High grade ARs dont do it, while lower grade slowly begin to wiggle

 no shit. Mine rattled like a baby toy, but would still shoot the shit out of the X ring.

    Yes it's normal.

There are methods to take the play out by using an o-ring or an accu-wedge. But I wouldn't recommend it. If the piece comes apart then it's highly likely it will get jammed in the trigger assembly and leave you with a non-functioning rifle until you take it completely apart.
