Is a leather cleaner safe for vinyl as well?

I only have a leather shift knob and steering wheel, and the rest is just vinyl (doors, etc.). I was thinking of buying a leather cleaner, but was wondering if you can also use that same product on vinyl?

Also, how is Woolite used to clean & condition leather?

Woolite is all that I and Scott use to clean leather with. 10:1 seems to be the best mix.
A leather cleaner will also treat vinyl. Armor All makes a good leather cleaner in the upside down bottle.

Leather cleaners will clean vinyl effectively but a leather conditioner tends to leave a splotchy look on vinyl so make sure when you dress the interior, use a vinyl specific protectant.

    I retract my statement then.
Maybe I've just been lucky. I like good old Armor All still for boat vinyl.....should still be good for autos.

Poorboys makes a product called Trim Restore, that works on both vinyl and leather. Good for doing Broughm(sp?) tops, and boat tops. But ive cheated and used it on interior bits before, and it does a better then adiquate job. Ive used it mainly on areas where vinyl and leather share realistate, like a door panel, or a center console, steering wheel, and ocasionally the dash.

Seats and such, those still get a dedicated leather celaner and/or conditioner.

So use 10 parts water to 1 part Woolite? Put it in a spray mist bottle?
