is a Kingston SD card better than a PNY SD card? if so, why? if not, why?
meh. Its all the same.
Kingston SD cards are the slowest of all SD cards avalible, they write really slow. If you have a newer digital camera it probably won't work because if the digital camera writes at a faster speed then the sd card is capable of writing, it will give you errors, pics will be corrupt and you will loose some pics. Go for SanDisk or something. I believe PNY is also good but don't take my word for that.
Probably made in the same factory - there aren't many companies that actually manufacture things like that.
Now, the warranty on the Kingston is probably better, but considering that it's at most a $50-$100 investment, the warranty is not that big a deal.
go to your local camera store and ask. i believe when i bought my in october, there was a pny with extra speed or some sort. all flash storage is NOT created equal.
google could prolly help you out too, mate
meh, compare the speeds on them and you'll be fine.
well i just saw newegg having a sale of PNY 512 MB SD card for $1 with a purchase of a digicam. i was just wondering if this is because PNYs are shit or something.
and i have both Kingston and Sandisk SDs, they both work just fine...
if its $1, who the hell cares. if its too slow, use it to level a table, or put it on ebay. if youre not an elitest digital photographer, i doubt youll notice or care
I'd bet money, if I had any, that the memory chips for both brands are made by the same chinese sweatshop workers.
wouldnt be surprised
