MIL Is a combat patch mandatory?

    I know AR 670-1 covers the wear of it and states that it's only mandatory on the Class A uniform.. so why the fuck do I get flak about not wearing it? The mandatory wear of it is not covered in a policy letter or any other bullshit document from our battalion, or brigade for that matter.

    i rarely wear mine and the only people who say anything to me are e4 and below asking me why i don't wear it

    Not manadatory...but a source of pride - put it on your A's at least.

    i know a lot of people who never left a fob who refuse to wear a combat patch.

    I probably won't leave a FOB and I'll be happy to wear mine.
