    :dunno:

want to just get my stamp for my SBR modified and get a shorter upper that I can swap out.

  2. It's a SBR if it has a stock. To be a pistol it has to be incapable of accepting a stock, so you can't just take a stock off a standard buffer tube.

yeah I don't want a pistol. Just want to swap the upper. Or maybe if prices go down get a full new lower as well. I think the pistol ARs look like something I shit out after eating 24 buffalo wings

You don't really get it 'modified'.

You just send them a letter stating the additional letters, calibers you will be using.

    That being said.....well....:dunno: :hsugh:

    Oh, OK.

I was just confused because they don't send you new paperwork or anything.

Barrels are pretty hard to find right now. I'll keep an eye out for you, one of the local dealers was selling them for ~$70 last year so there's a chance someone might put one up for sale on the local board at some point.
