Not sure if this goes here but i found this funny (feel free to move if needed)

I was reading my wired magazine when I came across a zune ad...on the zune it has "Music, Videos, Pictures, Social, Radio, Podcasts"

just kind of ironic that a zune would "support" a podcast when the iPOD is their competitor :ugh:

macs can run windows and microsoft is their competitor

why would either company have products that wont support things that would make them money just because another company came up with it?

I found that kind of ironic too, and I bet they cringe everytime they have to reference it in meetings and shit.

well its ironic that the zune uses the term "podcast" which originated from the iPod, the very thing that microsoft is trying to kill, you'd think they would use something different...just doesnt seem like good marketing IMO

Well lots of non apple programs and operating systems can do podcasts. Podcast is really now just a name for an audio blog more so than the name of a broadcast for an iPod.

But it has been hard enough teaching people just what podcast are........wait yeah.......I agree......it would be like Microsoft to go and change and confuse everyone.

    What the hell.....

Podcast has taken over as the generic term for that form of media. It doesn't really have anything to do with Apple or the iPod at this point. It wouldn't do them any good to try and relabel it as anything but. It's a selling point to say they support podcasts. That's what your average consumer is going to be looking for.

If you think that Apple = podcast and Microsoft = Windows, then the Zune supports podcasting, and Macs supports Windows. :noes:
