    20GB iRiver or 20GB 4g IPOD?

iRiver certianly has more features - any idea on quality, reliability etc?

I vote iPod. It's super easy to use and looks sweet, I doubt the iRiver can be easier to use than an iPod.

I take it you're thinking the iRiver as well! With the new pricing on the iPod and the educational discount it is actually cheaper than the iRiver (I believe it was the other way around a little while ago)

i have a free ipod on the way so that ipod price isn't a factor just personal preference.

If you really need a voice recorder and FM in a mp3 player, then iRiver.
    Otherwise get an iPod.

I was thinking the remote control with the iRiver would be pretty sweet for in the car...but then I need a DAC to hook it up to my deck.
