Right now my ipod is syncd with a friends itunes, because they have more music than i do.

Now i want to add song from my itunes to the ipod, but it wont because its syncd with another itunes.

so i enabled disk use, but my question is why wont the songs I added show up in the main list of artists?

From what you said I think that you set up your ipod as an external hd and then moved the music onto it that way? I don't think that it works that way. You have to set it up through itunes and then it will reformat the drive and load all the music from that computer onto it, I think. If I am wrong someone please correct me.

can't you just change it over to manual, instead of sync mode?

i never liked autosync for my ipod, because it's only 4gb and my itunes library is over 35gb, it just doesn't work
