Hey guys, just picked up a black 30 gig iPod video the other day. Downloaded ffmpegx and have been converting files to mp4. My problem though is quicktime won't open the files so I can't use quicktime to send the files to the iPod. The manual says something about using iTunes to export video, but doesn't seem to work. How do you guys export your video? Any help?

    Thanks guys

You have to use itunes to transfer videos to your ipod. In itunes, go to file > add to library. then drag and drop the video from your library to your ipod.

Ok, that worked for one of the videos. My problem is I'm using ffmpegx. I converted an avi file to mp4, then an mpg video to h.264 or whatever the ipod format is. I tried dragging them both into itunes, and directly onto the ipod, and it would not send them over to iTunes or my iPod. I don't know what the problem is. I tried a file that was originally encoded in mp4 format and that transfered just fine.
