I was listening to my ipod and I accidentally disconnected the headphones from the ipod. The ipod video froze mid song, and none of the buttons work. The backlight is on and there is nothing I can do. Help!

Did you try resetting it. Move the hold switch back and forth. Hold down menu and select until the Apple comes up.

Yeah, I have had problms with my ipod freezing before. I have had luck with either letting the battery drain and then plugging it back in to recharge or plugging it into my computer. Also try resetting it (make sure the hold button is off).

yea all what everyone else said, ive had the same problem wi th my 2GB 1st gen nano on numerous occasions. this is what i ussally do, hope it will work for you.

    1) reset it if possible
    2) plug into computer, if that doesnt work, restore the iPod to factory settings.
    3) let battery drain the try to plug it into computer.

    hope you get it woking.
