ive tried three headsets and on full volume its too quiet for the gym. i realize that sound is coming out of the built in speaker at the same time which is robbing the sound to the headphones
    how do i fix?

    1. spray some compressed air into the headphone slot, perhaps something is in there.
    2. plug it in to your comp and restore, maybe it is software
    3. if it is still under warranty take it in and they will replace it

did you blow your hearing from listening to your ipod to loud when you were younger?

    good luck finding your solution

When I bought my iPhone, the left speaker didn't work... took it back to the Apple Store and they replaced it on the spot no questions asked...
