I was wondering if there is a program that will let me take songs from another iPod and transfer them to mine without losing all of my songs.

you can use ipod access, senuti, or like 15 others, to rip music from an ipod to a harddrive, then copy them to yours. www.google.com (search 'ipod ripper')

You can plug your ipod in to the USB and find it in "my computer". The songs are all there with names that dont mean anything, like 5 random letters or something.
Drag them into another folder and i-tunes will read them no problem with all the info tags and such.
