So if I buy a 120gig ipod, can i dump all of my tv shows to it and when i want to watch them, just plug the ipod into my mac and watch them via itunes on the computer? all these shows are taking up a lot of space on my comp.

so when you say sync, do you mean i have to move them back over to my computer before i can watch them? or can i just watch them straight from the ipod?

ipods work by having a copy on your computer and a copy on the ipod, so it wont save space.

well... if you transfer the files from your computer to your ipod and then delete it off of your computer, you'll still have them on your ipod. i'm just not sure if you can play files on your ipod through your pc, but i wouldn't be surprised if you could.

the one thing that you can't do (easily) is get the files back off of the ipod. so, if that's your only copy, you're in for some fun.

You're better off this way, you'll have a backup of your music, which you should be doing anyways. Anyone who doesn't back up their shit is stupid.
