does anyone know why my ipod video keeps pausing in the middle while playing a song? it's the fifth generation model MA446LL. it just started happening recently.

    i tried a reboot - nothing
    i tried a restore - nothing

it does not pause at all when docked.

i've searched google and i've seen some replies where my headphone jack contacts could be the issue. i have the shure se210.
i cleaned the contacts of my headphone jacks and even went as far as use a sewing needle to pull out the contact tabs inside the ipod, though this helps a little it still pausing but not as much.

    i'm well out of warranty.

    anyone have suggestions?
    thanks

yeah its likely the headphone jack. that makes sense. it shouldn't cost much to replace at apple.
