Hey guys. My desktop is perma fucked up and cant seem to ever transfer files off it correctly. (windows)
I'm looking at picking up a macbook soon and need to transfer files and such. I've got a 60g Ipod laying around, so I thought about using it as an external HD so I don't have to buy one.

I had to reformat the ipod to make room for the files, so now its formatted to windows. The ipod wouldn't read on my windows machine in mac format (I got it from someone with a mac).

My question is, do the formats work in reverse order from what I had it at? Can the Mac grab files off a Windows formatted Ipod to save me a bit of a headache?

Also, basic question: is this even a useful way to transfer all my files?
Sorry if my questions are noob in nature, gotta start somewhere :-( :sadwavey:
