Too expensive for my taste....plus on Cingular....I have T-Mobile and love it. Not switching just for a phone.

Same here. If they made one for t-mobile I would consider it.

Yeah, once unlocked i'll get one. The best thing they did was put it on GSM.

The thing with unlocking though, it's going to take away features.

It was made specifically for Cingular and features were added that no other network has - like the way voice mail works. That won't work on any other network. I just feel like an unlocked one won't function enough to make it worth it.

If you cant add your own software am not worried some 3rd party will figure it out, they always do. Am def buying one and going with Cingular since there pretty good in the bay area, using T-mobile and the fam has Cingular and we dont have problems with none of them.

Nope, why buy a PDA that has the "ability" to run everything since it's a true computer OS yet is locked down to only run standard phone shit? Odds are, since it's Apple, it will be locked down against user-made software as well. That's like buying a Desktop computer but you can only play solitare on it.
I already have an 8125 that at least lets me load up all kinds of user made software.

Now if they were to come out with a fully functional PDA version with a qwerty keyboard and abilty to load and run standard software then it would be on my hip the day it was released.

8GB for me, though I keep telling myself I'm going to wait until they add 3G before I buy. Not sure I can hold off 'til '08 though. :noes:

As for third party apps, my money is on Apple allowing people to make apps, but having to get them certified safe by Apple, at which point they will be made available through the iTunes store.

I had planned on purchasing one, but after reading 2 threads with nothing but the cons, I think I will wait.
