I just had the Apple store swap out my iPhone for a new one because of some issues that I was having. Does my warranty start over with the new one I just got, or is it a continuation of the previous phone's warranty?

Going to guess it does not start over.

Takes over the warranty of the old phone or 90 days...whichever is longer. I just went through this with AT&T on a separate phone. 7 days past the 90d expiration and they couldn't do anything for me.

Usually when you have an extended warranty and use it before it expires that's it. You don't get a replacement that continues on the remaining warranty because you've used your "1up".

Same goes for a replacement under standard warranties. The replacement item will be under its own warranty, but in Apple's case they generally give you a refurb and it's covered under a 90 day warranty.

Yet if they find nothing wrong they have the right to charge you full price for the replacement they just sent. :mamoru:
